Every now and then I like to make some vintage cards. I enjoy the elegance of a “vintage looking”
card. I CASE’d this card from Cathy
Williams who is part of my Stampin’ Up! group.
I used the Borders
Plate to add some dimension to the card and then I colored the flower trim by
pressing it down onto the ink pad a few times until you get the color you
want. I then used the blending technique
using watercolor paper and markers on the flowers from the Everything Eleanor stamp
set. First, the flower was stamped using
StazOn Ink and then I colored the base of each flower petal and used a blender
pen to move the color out to the ends of each petal. I then came back with a
darker color and placed a small amount of color where there was some shading on
the flower. I think this turned out very
elegant, but yet easy to make. Don’t forget to try out different techniques
with your cards….it makes it twice the fun!
Happy Stamping!
