Flowering Tree

They say it is Spring right now, but with the cold weather and rain I’m not convinced yet. I love making Spring cards and gifts so below is my latest creation. The design was first put together by my friend and mentor Jill and it is one of my favorites. I think it definitely has that WOW! factor. First I made the window layers of my card front using the Nestabilities. Next I ran the Pear Pizzazz layer through the Big Shot using the large polka dot texture plate from Stampin’ Up!. I stamped the tree from Branch Out in chocolate chip ink and then added some blossoms in Pear Pizzazz, Regal Rose and Pink Pirouette. Since those colors matched the Flower Soft I'd been hoarding, I decided to add random specs of glue to the tree blossoms and throw on some Flower Soft.....I love it!

Here's a little peek of the inside since you can't really see it all when it's closed. I just tore a piece of scrap paper and stippled a bit of Pear Pizzazz along the bottom to give it the look of grass.
