Abstract impressions wreath card using Stampin' Up! products

After all the Christmas presents are opened and all the festivities have ended, we need to send thank you cards to all of our friends and loved ones that made our holiday season that much more joyous.  This is a card that anyone would love to receive from you and it isn't very complicated.

  • Stamp Sets – Abstract Impressions (147513)
  • Card Stock – Whisper White (10073)

  • Miscellaneous – Silver Foil Sheets (132178); Layering Ovals Framelits (141705); Berry Burst 3/8” Metallic Edge Ribbon (145489); Silver Mini Sequin Trim (144230); Mini Glue Dots (103683); Clear Rhinestones (144220); Pencil

Measurements:

  • Whisper White (base): 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score at 4 ¼” and folded
  • Whisper White (layer): 4” x 5 ¼”

  2. Stamp the solid flower image using Berry Burst ink directly over the pencil line. Stamp off one layer of ink on scratch paper to reduce the color of ink. Repeat this process stamping off each time, to fill the traced circle. If you need to “squeeze in” a flower, do it in an area that the bow will later cover it.
  3. Stamp the smaller, detailed flower image using Berry Burst ink, directly over the solid flower images. Repeat this process stamping each flower.
  4. Stamp the small solid leaves image using Granny Apple Green ink, filling in between the flowers as desired.
  5. Stamp the greeting in the center of the wreath using Memento ink.
  6. Tie a bow using the ribbon. Add the Sequin Trim to the back of the bow using a Glue Dot. Adhere the bow/trim to the wreath using several Glue Dots.
  7.  Add rhinestones to the center of each flower.

Same layout with three different Christmas cards using Stampin' Up! products

I was asked to participate in a card swap last week at the Sacramento Scrapbook Expo.  I had to make 22 cards and knew I wanted to use my favorite Christmas Designer Series Paper, Festive Farmhouse.  I wanted to use the entire pack and not have to purchase multiple packs so that all my cards would be the same and have the same Designer Series Paper (DSP) on each one.

I came up with this template and just alternated the DSP out of that stack and I think they turned out really good.  I got LOTS of compliments so I think it was a success!

Supplies:

  • Stamp Sets - Festive Farmhouse bundle
  • Card Stock - Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler
  • Stamp Pads - Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler
  • Miscellaneous - Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper, SNAIL adhesive, dimensionals, gold linen thread, circle thinlits

Measurements:

  • Cherry Cobbler: 5 x 3.75
  • Designer Series Paper: 4 3/4 x 3.5
  • Designer Series Paper banner: 1.5 x 4.5

Instructions:

  1. Stamp Merry Christmas in Cherry Cobbler onto Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut with banner framelit
  2. Stamp Wishing You a Season sentiment in Mossy Meadow onto Mossy Meadow cardstock and die cut with 2 inch circle thinlit
  3. Adhere the Cherry Cobbler mat to the front of the card
  4. Adhere the DSP to the Cherry Cobbler mat
  5. Adhere the DSP banner on top of the larger piece of DSP in the center
  6. Adhere the Merry Christmas banner to the Mossy Meadow circle and put dimensionals on the back
  7. Place the gold linen thread on the dimensionals before adhering to the front of the card.
